the Ride2give Team

Hello and Welcome from the Ride2give Team

Paris to Barcelona Cycle Ride May 2012

What are we up to in May 2012? We intend to cycle 1,200 km in 9 days from Paris to Barcelona all in aid of Help for Heroes.

As usual we have a lot to do before we undertake this mammoth task. The Australian team members intend to fly to Paris in early May. On arrival they will meet up with the UK team to finalise those last minute arrangements whilst trying to acclimatise to the European weather and overcome the dreaded jet lag. Within a few days of their arrival the whole team will be off, cycling south through the centre of France to our final destination in Barcelona, Spain.

The route we plan to take will take us through the French regions of Ile-de-France, Centre, Auvergne and Midi-Pyrénées before crossing into Spain to ride through the Aragon and Catalonia regions. The route starts in the capital of France and passes through a variety of landscapes including rolling hills, farmland and onto the mountainous region of the Pyrenees. This journey is challenging in both the mountainous terrain it covers and its duration, requiring us to cover up to 160km per day for 9 days without a rest day.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

  • Well Done the Virgin Atlantic team members on raising £5,000!
Thank you for your support

About Help for Heroes

What is H4H all about? It's about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It's about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It's about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It's about Ben, it's about Steven and Andy and Mark, it's about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.

Please note, the Bmycharity website will be closing on 31st December 2015. Help for Heroes can no longer create new fundraising pages (however, donations to existing pages are accepted until the closure). If you would like to create a fundraising page in support of H4H, please visit

If you have any questions at all, or want to talk through the transition process, please contact Bmycharity on 01980 846459 or
