Hello and Welcome from Michael Jardine

Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2013

At the end of May I joined about 300 other riders on a 400+ mile cycle ride from Paris to London in aid of Help for Heroes. In itself not a huge challenge, even for a rather overweight, middle-aged chap like me. The real challenge (though negligible compared to that of the likes of Josh & Jack on their hand bikes) is that I did the whole thing on a London Cycle Hire (Boris) bike. See ITV London story at:

and Ealing Gazette article at:

We even got to see Jeremy Clarkson astride the Boris Bike! All this surely merits copious amounts of sponsorship for this incredible charity. It provides vital support to the likes of Michael & Nathan pictured with me on BBBR2011 below. PLEASE DIG DEEP!!

Donating through this page is simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give to H4H – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent you will boost your donation.

Thank you for your support.

About Help for Heroes

What is H4H all about? It's about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It's about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It's about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It's about Ben, it's about Steven and Andy and Mark, it's about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.

Please note, the Bmycharity website will be closing on 31st December 2015. Help for Heroes can no longer create new fundraising pages (however, donations to existing pages are accepted until the closure). If you would like to create a fundraising page in support of H4H, please visit

If you have any questions at all, or want to talk through the transition process, please contact Bmycharity on 01980 846459 or
