Hello and Welcome!
Galloway’s Society for the Blind was established in 1867 and now provides advice, support, specialist equipment and a wide range of activities, sports, guided trips, holidays and talking newspapers to over 6000 blind and visually impaired people across Lancashire Sefton.
Our vision is to create positive change for blind and partially sighted people living in a sighted world. Galloway's works hard to enable blind and visually impaired people to maintain their independence, regain their confidence and minimise the effects of living with reduced vision. Operating from 4 Sight Advice Centres based in Penwortham, Chorley, Morecambe and Southport the Society strives to reach out and provide an accessible local service. We pride ourselves on being big enough to cope but small enough to care.
Galloway’s need to raise £1 million each year to continue running its services, this is something we simply could not do without the support of the general public who so kindly volunteer, donate and leave legacies.
